NORVIN racing special motorcycle. Vincent HRD 1000cc V twin engine, engine no. F10AB/1/2241 mated to a Quaife gearbox fitted into a featherbed frame. Engine has been rebuilt to a very high standard for racing and is gas flowed and running on 36mm Amal carburettors. It is believed to date from 1949. The rolling chassis has also been rebuilt and consists of a featherbed frame that has been powder coated, Frame no. 53169. Both front and back wheels have been rebuilt with new rims. The front forks are 38mm Ceriani legs in Marzocchi yokes with twin discs and Lockheed racing calipers. This motorcycle has been part of a private collection for many years and needs recommissioning
James V-Twin 500cc speedway bike. 1929. The James model has been specially designed to meet the strenuous work to which speedway machines are subject to dirt track racing. The OHV twin engine was built to provide extreme acceleration to high speeds which helped it to win many races. It has a very rigid and strong frame being trussed laterally to prevent whip. This machine was discovered in the West country in 1990 and restored to its original condition. No.A10-101. Possibly the first built. It was thought only 12 were produced
Vincent Rapide motorcycle. 1000cc. 1955. This bike has been modified for road use and was last running 18 months ago before it went into storage. Electric start. This machine on it's old logbook states it was a Black Prince, the engine number has since been changed to a Rapide 1000cc engine. This engine change was done about 40 years ago. Engine number is F10AB/1/2820. Frame No. as on old and new logbook -RD/12913F. Reg. WVK 524. Keys old and new V5
