Spondon Yamaha 125 motorcycle, 125cc.
This bike has been built during the last 7 years using a 1974/5 Spondon frame and Yamaha YAS3 engine with Yamaha GYT race kit cylinders and Mikuni carburettors from a Yamaha TA125 production race bike. Wheels have been rebuilt with stainless steel spokes, tank and seat are believed to be original, fairing is new but period correct and supplied by Mead Speed, Handlebars and levers are original as is the twin leading shoe front brake. Ignition system is a Femsatronic system, period correct. Primary gears are NOS straight cut with metal racing friction plates fitted to the clutch. Crankshaft has polished rods and racing big end assembly. Machine has been dry stored since built with no oil in the gearbox and has not been started.
